• User-generated content: Any information you provide when suggesting new sports locations or requesting updates to existing locations

Information stored locally on your device

The following information is stored only on your device and is never transmitted to our servers:

• Favorites: Sports clubs you've saved as favorites
• Language preference: Your selected app language (Dutch or English)
• Search history: Recent searches within the app

Information automatically collected

• Sports location data: We retrieve information about sports clubs and facilities from our database to display in the app
• Usage data: We may collect anonymous usage statistics to improve the app experience

How we use your information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

• To respond to your requests: Contact information submitted through suggestion forms is used solely to respond to your questions or process your location suggestions
• To improve our service: Understanding which regions and sports are most popular helps us expand our coverage
• To provide core functionality: Displaying sports club information, filtering, and search features

Data storage and security

• Cloud storage: Sports club information is stored in our Supabase database
• Local storage: Your favorites and preferences are stored securely on your device using encrypted storage (AsyncStorage)
• Email communications: When you submit a suggestion or question, your email and information are transmitted securely and stored only as long as necessary to respond to your request

Data sharing and third parties

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties.

We use the following third-party services:

• Supabase: Database hosting for sports club information
• Email service: To send and receive suggestion form submissions

These services may have access to your data only to perform tasks on our behalf and are obligated to protect your information.

Your rights

You have the right to:

• Access: Request a copy of the personal information we have about you
• Correction: Request correction of inaccurate information
• Deletion: Request deletion of your personal information
• Opt-out: Stop using the app at any time, which will prevent any future data collection

Children's privacy

Sportinkaart is suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without parental consent. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately.

• Suggestion form data: Retained only as long as necessary to respond to your request, typically no more than 90 days
• Local data: Stored on your device until you delete the app or clear the data manually

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by:

• Updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy
• Displaying a notice in the app (for material changes)
